This sauce tastes homemade!
1 ½ cup chopped fresh parsley
3 large garlic cloves, crushed and diced
1 cup chopped yellow onion
1 portabello mushroom cap, chopped
2 links of habanero-pepper jack chicken sausage, cut into ¼ slices
4-6 Tablespoons olive oil
½ tsp butter
1 tbsp dried oregano
1 tbsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp dried basil
2 dashes of ‘thai hot pepper’ flakes

We eat a lot of salad at our house, and often buy the prewashed, “bagged” salad for convenience sake. These light and delicate cookies have a most unusual combination of flavors.
Basil-Lime Cookies
2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1½ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
2/3 cup softened butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 tablespoons fresh cinnamon basil, chopped
1 tablespoon finely chopped lime peel
